Why Gilford Got Lunch?
There are approximately 300 students within the Gilford School District. 26% of the student population (including Gilmanton) qualify for reduced or free lunches. These students are at risk of not having healthy food during the school weekends and summer months.
Under the umbrella of the Gilford Youth Center, in cooperation with the Gilford School District and the Gilford Community Church, the Gilford Got Lunch program was established. Our mission is to provide 5 healthy lunches, per week, for at risk school children of the Gilford School District, who are registered in the program, during the school and summer months.
